Tritek, a leading Chinese manufacturer of lithium-ion battery packs, is proud to announce a strategic joint venture with TAKUNI Group Public Company Limited (TAKUNI) and WTL Corporation Limited (WTL) to establish a state-of-the-art lithium-ion battery manufacturing facility in Thailand.
Under this partnership, Tritek will hold a 20% stake in the joint venture, with TAKUNI owning 45% and WTL holding 35%. The facility aims to produce over 10,000 battery units in its first year of operation in 2026, catering to the growing demand for EVs in Thailand and the broader ASEAN market.
The collaboration leverages Tritek’s expertise in advanced battery technology, TAKUNI’s local market insights, and WTL’s operational capabilities to deliver high-quality, sustainable energy solutions. The batteries will power a range of applications, including 2- and 3-wheeled EVs, agricultural equipment, drones, and other battery-dependent devices.
As part of its global strategy, Tritek continues to expand production and service capabilities beyond China, such as localized service centers in Spain, Germany, and the U.S. This joint venture in Thailand marks a significant step in strengthening Tritek’s presence in Southeast Asia, aligning with its mission to provide innovative and sustainable energy solutions worldwide.
Bluen, CEO of Tritek, stated, “This partnership marks a significant milestone for Tritek as we expand our footprint in Southeast Asia. By combining our cutting-edge battery technology with TAKUNI and WTL’s regional expertise, we are poised to drive the adoption of clean energy solutions and support the region’s transition to a sustainable future.”
